iPad is a tablet computer from Apple that runs on iOS. It was released in 2010, and has a user interface built around a multi touch screen and a virtual keyboard. The company has progressively come up with a number of variants, ranging from the first generation classic to the fourth generation.


Sega

Units sold: 91 million


With its release of SG-1000, Sega entered into the video game console market in 1982. Subsequently, it evolved to other consoles like Saturn and Dreamcast and later shifted to a third-party software developer in 2001. By the end of 2005 to this day, contributing to the company’s success, they were strong pachinko sales and sales of software titles.

Xbox

Xbox, a video game console from Microsoft, is the first American console. Initially, it was released in 2001, followed by Xbox Live in 2002. Later, its successor Xbox 360 was launched in 2005 which was discontinued soon due to poor sales. Recently, the Xbox Live Servers were shut down in 2010.

A line of wireless handless devices and services designed and marketed by Research In Motion (RIM). The first BlackBerry device was an email pager, which was released in 1999. Recently, the company had unveiled its latest BB10 OS based Z10 and Q10 BlackBerry devices. It is well-known for its ability to send and receive push emails and instant messages.

Originally released in 2007, iPhone is a line of Smartphones which runs on Apple’s iOS operating system, known as “iPhone OS”. The latest iteration of the device carry the version named iPhone 5,’ which is probably one of the fastest sold electronic devices in recent history.

Series of video game consoles created and developed by Sony in 1994. PlayStation, the first console in the series was the first video console to be shipped 100 million units after its initial launch. Symbian is a mobile operating system designed for Smartphones, which was developed by Symbian Limited and maintained by Accenture. The company’s sales boosted because of Nokia used this OS for their phones. Nintendo is a multi-national consumer electronics company and considered to be the world’s largest video game company by revenue. It was initiated in 1889 venturing into various businesses like hotels and taxicabs. The company ended up with a heap of profit, with the release of Donkey Kong in 1981 and later Family Computer accompanied by Super Mario Bros. The video game consoles have evolved to various products like Nintendo 64, GameCube and the Wii.
